Taylor Shea
Owner of Flawless Damsel My name is Taylor Alexander I am 24 years old. I am the owner of Flawless Damsels Boutique. Throughout my life I always knew I wanted work for a Fortune 500 company as a CEO or COO. Through my matriculation in college at The Great Bethune Cookman University the term entrepreneurship was drilled in my mind. Before starting my own business I had several opportunities to work for different Fortune 500 companies. I was a Property and Casualty Underwriter at MetLife Auto and Home and a Manager at Enterprise Rent A Car to name a few. I found myself not fulfilled in these positions. My entrepreneurial side was still itching inside of me and I knew I had to do something to fulfill that desire. I started an online business selling women's shape wear that flourished beyond measure. Graduation was shortly approaching and I had several job off to be managers or supervisor for different companies but I honestly couldn't see myself working for anyone else and helping them build their dreams when I had my own dreams of being a business owner. Upon graduation I took a giant leap of faith and denied all offers and went on a journey to open Flawless Damsels. Flawless Damsels is an all inclusive boutique for women that sells apparel, shoes, accessories, handbags, shape wear diet plans and much more. Opening my business by far has been the greatest achievement of my life. I have had the opportunity to do fashion shows all over, participate in vendor events, host makeup classes, and much more. With every achievement comes trials and tribulations. During the riots in Baltimore for Freddie Gray my business was completely vandalized and looted. I was closed for four months. During that time I found my true strength and fell deeper in love with my business. I reopened again August 29,2015. My story has opened the opportunity to now be able to do motivational speaking. Owning a business isn't easy but if you love what you do and have faith you will always find peace and happiness.
